The Alcotraz experience has become a popular, award-winning immersive performance, featuring Clyde Cassidy, a fictional bootlegger who encourages visitors to smuggle liquor into a corrupt prison. The audience becomes part of the show, playing newly convicted prisoners who must help deceive The Warden, who is unaware of the smuggling operation. The actors improvise with each guest, making every experience unique.

 

Beyond the entertainment, Inventive Productions acknowledges the harsh realities of the UK prison system and partnered with the Innocence Project London (IPL) in 2024 to help fund its initiatives. A portion of Alcotraz’s revenue is donated to the IPL, and visitors are encouraged to contribute as well. This partnership supports IPL’s mission to challenge miscarriages of justice, take on more cases, and advocate for policy reform to prevent wrongful convictions.
